Medical Services Corps Officer, 378th Expeditionary Medical Squadron, Prince Sultan Air Base Captain Garza entered the United States Air Force as an Aerospace Medical Technician through basic training in 2008 and transitioned to the 141st Medical Group Washington Air National Guard in 2016. In 2018, Captain Garza was commissioned as a Medical Services Corps Officer Healthcare Administrator where she plays a critical role in leading healthcare professionals within the 141st Medical Group. She holds a Masters of Healthcare Administration through the University of Scranton. In her current deployed setting, as the Ground Surgical Team’s plans and readiness officer and the only non-clinical member of the team, Captain Garza is responsible for the command and control, logistics, communications, CASEVAC coordination, reporting and administrative functions for the Ground Surgical Team.
