Capt Lequita P. Cox is an Oncology Certified Nurse assigned to the 6th Air Mobility Command, 6th Medical Group, 6th Operational Medical Readiness Squadron, MacDill AFB, Florida. Currently serving as a clinical nurse in the Warrior Operational Medicine Clinic, she collaborates care worth $1.62 million dollars a year for 3,300 joint service members across 2 Air Force Medical Home teams. Capt Cox is an ambitious and motivated leader who is committed to the mission and the advancement of excellence in the medical community. As the clinic patient advocate, she promptly addresses patient and staff concerns guaranteeing safe and quality care contributing to a 90% MDG patient satisfaction rating.

Capt Cox served 7 years in the civilian sector as a travel registered nurse in the specialty areas of Oncology, Nephrology, and Medical-Surgical before direct commissioning into the Air Force in 2021. After graduating Officer Training School (OTS) at Maxwell AFB in July of 2021 and prior to assuming her current position, Capt Cox was assigned to MacDill AFB, serving as the sole clinical nurse in Women’s Health. In this role she oversaw the triage, health education, counseling, and the critical cervical dysplasia program for 10,000 eligible beneficiaries. Additionally, she was the only registered nurse hand selected by the Chief Nurse to attend the largest Air Mobility Command global exercise Mobility Guardian in support of the National Defense Strategy where she led 19 personnel.
